Rural Cemeteries
In churchyards and off rural roads throughout Oklahoma, cemetary grave markers line up gently rolling hillsides or open prairie serving as a reminder of the pioneers who settled Oklahoma. Some graves are marked with simple markers obscured by brush and grass while others are askew or fallen. Rural cemetaries are threatened by neglect and vandalism.
